2. Transcribe locally
The file is converted and processed by the NVIDIA Parakeet model running locally on your Mac.
3. Export the text
You can get formatted text, timestamped text, or SRT subtitles.
4. Delete the audio
Audio is never uploaded to external services and is automatically deleted after transcription.
Does it really work offline?
Yes, after the initial AI model download. A connection is needed for the model and updates, not for everyday transcription.
No account
Parrocchettami does not require registration, login, or a cloud account to transcribe your audio.
What is stored
Transcript history is kept locally in the app archive so you can reopen results. Audio files are deleted after transcription.
Code verificabile
The project is open source. You can read the code on GitHub and build the app directly from source.
Model note: the AI model is about 707 MB and is downloaded separately from the app. After downloading, the model stays on your Mac.
